It is very hard to know where to start after the Porsche Carrera Cup GB round at Croft. I have had a rollercoaster season, but nothing compares to the extreme highs and lows that I went through at the weekend.

It seemed as though I used up a season’s worth of emotions in just two days. Racing is all about managing your expectation, doing the best job possible and taking acceptable risks. There are always more bad days than good days because only one person can win, and we are all ultra-competitive.

My first podium of the Porsche Carrera Cup season may not have been the best I have ever had, but it was among the sweetest.

It has been a tough start to the year, but the team have backed me every step of the way and third place at a glorious Oulton Park was me giving them something back.

It would not be a Porsche Carrera Cup meeting without their being some excitement, and Dean Stoneman seemed to be very close to my car all weekend. Ultimately, he helped me get a fourth and a third place.

We knew it was going to be a tough weekend at Donington but the Celtic Speed boys can be very proud of their performance in rounds 3 and 4 of the Porsche Carrera Cup GB.

It would have been easy to feel sorry for ourselves after the six-grid penalty handed out at the first round at Brands Hatch. But we turned in a performance while overcoming a whole host of extra problems thrown our way.
