Working Environment & Preferred Business Practice
Intrafusion have a team of experienced and established personnel, who can satisfy a full range of needs from complex interactive dynamic websites to simple static information websites.
Intrafusion have formed a very effective partnership with DEF*STA to assist each other with design and development projects. Through this partnership we are able to offer a wider variety of design ideas and additional new media projects including corporate branding, marketing brochures, business cards, letterheads, etc.
To keep our overheads low and therefore our rates, we have a small number of fixed personnel and use trusted freelancers as necessary to help create a unique and varied team.
To successfully create a website to your requirements and specifications we prefer to work in a structured manor, however, some of these points may not be applicable to every project:
Consultation
Where we can learn about your company and you can learn about us. These discussions will help us establish an appropriate level of business and allow us to present our ideas.
Site Planning
This will outline all the fundamental elements in the site and the content hierarchy. Some clients don't appreciate we are likely to create an effective design if the site structure is agreed before we start designing a website. We prefer to take things one step at a time and be thorough, so as not to waste time going back over old designs which now wont work because of some relatively minor decisions regarding the site structure.
Site Design
Using information from the site plan to create design proposals promoting further discussion about the site design. This is an on-going part of the process and it may be necessary to make minor amendments to the design throughout the entire project. Your company may already have a well developed brand, in which case we'll design a website which is sympathetic to your existing styles.
Design Approval
Once a successful design has been approved, the project moves into the actual web development or production phase. Because the design process considers development issues, the transition from design to development will be seamless. Access can be granted to the development server so the most current version can be viewed at all times.
Website Content
Some work may be needed to the existing content and any new content will have to be written. It is normal that any work needed is carried out in parallel to the development phase. For sites which aren’t to be content managed all content should be supplied with basic formatting only. Content includes text, pictures, and other media such as documents and movies.
We offer optional content development and management services, additionally we provide comprehensive training to use the content management system (CMS) that empowers our clients' to add and manage content at their leisure.
Go Live
Once all content has been added to the website and approval to publish the site live on the web is given, a final "go live" checklist is completed and the website is then published live on the Internet.
The live address of the website requires registration of an Internet domain name and a choice of several technical options in order to publish the site at the relevant domain name(s).
The choice of these technical options varies according to certain factors which will be addressed during the original consultation stage.
